About Shihan Messinger
Shihan Adam Messinger bagan training in 1986 at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He studied under Hanshi Isao Ichikawa at headquarter dojo in Vienna, Austria from 1989 to 1990. During the 1990’s, Renshi Messinger trained and led classes in Portland and then in San Diego, California, where he conducted his doctoral studies at the University of California. Since 2000, he has been living and teaching Karatedo Doshinkan in the Washington, DC area.
